Pro-Play Games just made an announcement regarding the upcoming Atlanta Challenge Event that happens later this month!

Event info: Event start times also indicates the number of events that will be held. For Sealed Deck Challenge and Swiss Draft Challenge which state that the events are ongoing on Sundays, it means that the event will run as pods, where the event will commence once there are enough players who register and registration for a new pod will open up.

Points to note:

  • Players will need to be logged into melee.gg to register for side events.
  • Only register for a side event when you are ready to play. Once the number of players required to start the event are filled, the event will begin.
  • If an event marks as requiring a deck list, decklist submission will be required.
  • Events will be held in a best of 3 format. Draws will not count towards “Points per Win” prizing.
  • Ursula’s Return (Set 4) will be legal ONLY for side events in Atlanta.

Based on the information, there will be a featured prize wall where there will be a variety of different prizes that anyone can exchange for using their prize vouchers.

Meanwhile prizing for the various side events will likely include prize vouchers, so that everyone can exchange for prizes that they want at the featured prize wall. Some of the prizes will have limited quantity, so if you are planning to attend the event, we recommend that you be there bright and early on Saturday to attend the public events, cause the popular items might have been fully redeemed and not available by Sunday.

Once you have decided on the deck that you will be using, print out multiple copies of your deck list, ready to submit for every single side event that may be required. You wouldn’t want to be hunting for deck list sheets at the event hall and filling them up at the last minute, since that might take up time that you could be attending more public events instead.

Lastly, there are no details mentioned on how many non-competitive attendee badges will be available for purchase. Considering how 500 competitive badges was snapped up in under a minute, we recommend that you login to Eventbrite and have the attendee badge purchase page ready before the 12pm EST sale time.

That’s it for the information and our suggestions on how to prepare for the Atlanta Challenge event! Aside from preparing for the event, most importantly remember to have fun!!
