The First Chapter will be released in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg starting this August and will be available in English, French or German!

The First Chapter will first be released in local game stores on August 18th, followed by a mass retail launch on September 1st.

Disney Lorcana will also be available ~~in Disney Parks on August 18th and~~ online via the Disney shopDisney platform starting from September 1st.

Attendees of Gen Con 2023 (held on August 3-6, 2023 at Indianapolis) will also be able to purchase select The First Chapter products.

At launch, over 200 game cards will be available in various products including starter decks, booster packs, a gift set and the “Illumineer’s Trove”.

The official website provides an updated version of Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon, where the card number indicates that The First Chapter will apparently have 204 card types.

Starter decks pricing are as follows:

There will be 3 different starter decks available at launch, each with a specific list of 60 cards using 2 of the 6 “Inks”.

Each starter deck includes:

1 starter deck of 60 cards, including 2 foil cards of the characters on the package front
11 damage counters
1 lore tracker token
1 rulebook
1 paper playmat
1 booster pack containing 12 randomized cards

Under the Starter Deck information, it is also confirmed that “To play Disney Lorcana, each player will need a deck of sixty cards.”

There are 12 decks per display and 1 display per case.

There will also be sleeved version of booster packs.

Each booster contains twelve randomized cards:

6 common cards
3 uncommon cards
2 rare, super rare, or legendary cards

Card Sleeves

Each pack contains 65 matte-finish card sleeves featuring a Disney Lorcana glimmer. There are 40 packs of sleeves per case.

Deck Boxes

Each deck box can hold up to 80 sleeved cards. The first Disney Lorcana deck boxes will feature the same Captain Hook, Elsa, and Mickey Mouse art as the card sleeves. There are 24 deck boxes per case.

Playmats

Each playmat features striking artwork of Disney characters. A fabric top prevents damage during gameplay and can also be used a desk mat or mouse pad, while the anti-slip bottom keeps the mat in place during use. The first Disney Lorcana playmats will feature Maleficent, Just In Time (Maui), and Mickey Mouse – Steamboat Pilot. There are 12 playmats per case.

Portfolios (Lorebooks)

Players can safeguard their collection with portable card portfolios, which hold 64 standard cards as well as 8 oversized cards. The first Disney Lorcana card portfolios will feature Stitch and The Queen. There are 12 portfolios per case.
