Wiki

The Great Stone Dragon is the (supposed) strongest guardian of the Fa Family who never managed to properly make its debut in the movie due to an… unfortunate accident. That said, it’s great to have it in Disney Lorcana, and it even does a great job at ramping the amount of ink you have in your inkwell!

It comes into play exerted, which means you have to wait a turn to use his ability, but following that, you get to add a character from your discard into your inkwell every single turn for free!

Probably one of the best ways to bring back a stubborn girl who ran off into the battlefield on her own, or any other character you choose.

Great Stone Dragon and Fishbone Quill share many similarities as they are both 3 ink Sapphire cards that help you to ramp. Fishbone Quill is faster, since you get that additional ink to use right away in turn 3, while Great Stone Dragon’s extra ink comes exerted, which including itself coming into play exerted means you only get that extra ink to use in turn 5.

However, you get that extra ink for free and you can keep all your precious cards in hand, and you won’t have to rely on other methods to find resources. Instead, Great Stone Dragon gives you one every turn!

Item wise, there are lots of cards that Great Stone Dragon works very well with. Hiram Flaversham – Toymaker and Tamatoa – So Shiny! are both cards that can get you more card advantage, either through card draw, or just retrieving Great Stone Dragon after you banish it. And with all the free cards you get in the Inkwell, bringing out Tamatoa is going to be much easier!

There are many more ways that Great Stone Dragon could fit into your Sapphire deck.
