This is an interesting list, especially due to the some controversies that happened live on stream during the Melbourne Challenge event that happened last week.
Currently the event is still under investigation but it concerns the top 8 match that took place between Jesse Lentini and Clement Fusade which you can check out from Twitch. Eric from TheGamer has posted up an article that covers the incident which you should definitely check out if you want to learn more about the incident.
With this list of invitees, it would appear that Clement Fusade, the original 2nd place winner of the Melbourne Championship has had his invitation rescinded.
What’s next?
What the list of players confirmed, 2 big questions on every Illumineers’ minds are defintely:
- What is the World Championship event?
- When will the next series of Challenge events resume?
Based on the article, it looks like the Disney Lorcana team needs more time to work out the details. The first year of Disney Lorcana’s organized play has been a roaring success so far and the Lorcana team undoubtedly has a very huge task ahead as we completely all the Challenge events and Disney Lorcana expands to China and Japan. Hopefully all the details are sorted out and we get more details soon.
In the meantime though, we have a fireside chat for Archazia’s Island to look forward to in a couple of days, of which I’m sure many questions of “When World Championship” will be a part of the chat.
