HeiHei is back for Ursula’s Return, and he’s eating rocks again! That aside, HeiHei gives us the very first ramp card for Emerald and he seems decent! Against most inks, he is not the ideal card to play on turn 3, since your opponent would have the same amount of card in the inkwell as you in the early game. However against Sapphire Ink, which loves to play cards like One Jump Ahead, Fishbone Quill and Mickey Mouse – Detective, HeiHei will help you keep up with inkwell on turn 3!
Against non-Sapphire decks, HeiHei might not have the best stats, and it will be hard to make use of his ability even on turn 4 if you are going first, but if all else fails, you can choose to just ink him! Also I should add that amount 3 cost Emerald characters, there aren’t that many which have solid effects, are inkable, yet have 2 lore. And just for that alone, I think HeiHei is definitely worth a shot in your next Emerald deck.
