Cogsworth – Majordomo is one of the few cards currently in Disney Lorcana that can reduce the opponent’s strength beyond the current turn that an ability is used. Maximus – Relentless Pursuer has similar stats and is cheaper at 3 ink, but Maximus’ ability can only be used once, and only lasts till the end of the turn, meaning it only helps to keep your characters on the board when challenging into the chosen opponent’s character. If you are unable to take out that character, it goes back to its original strength when the opponent’s turn resumes.
In comparison, Cogsworth ability lasts till the start of your next turn, so your opponent’s bigger characters will constantly have a reduced strength as long as you keep questing, which Cogsworth likely can do since your opponent’s beatsticks will have reduced strength. And if your Cogsworth stays in play, you can play Mrs. Potts – Enchanted Teapot the following turn to draw a card!
