More path to worlds has been shared for China, including a ranking point system and more!
The China official WeChat just announced the complete tournament system for China and how Illumineers in China can advance to the World Championship!
Note: It is not stated which World Championship, but it is likely planned for 2026.

The Disney Lorcana team in China has announced the full tournament structure for China.
The road to World Championship shared here has some similarities to the route previously announced in early March, where players have 2 routes to reach the China Championship, namely Challenge and the Big Prize Tournament. However a new addition has been added to the path, which is the China Qualifier!
The China Championship Qualifier is a path that opens up to players who participate regularly in events via the brand new ranking point system! Ranking points can be obtained by Illumineers who participate in various tournaments, including store tournaments and the large-scale events (Big Prize and Challenge events).
These tournaments complete the tournament structure for Disney Lorcana in China, giving players a variety of ways for them to reach the China Championship that gives them a shot at representing China in the World Championship!
Aside from the tournament information, various prizes have also been unannounced.
In the info about the Big Prize Tournament, part of the prizes are displayed, including playmats for Rapunzel – Gifted with Healing, Cinderella – Stouthearted and also mention about an uncut sheet for Disney Lorcana cards!
The first Big Prize Tournament is also announced for China, including a concept art featuring the venue’s decorations and they look absolutely gorgeous! Here are the event details!
Date: May 31 ~ June 1, 2025
City: Shanghai
Venue: 西岸穹顶艺术中心 (West Bund Artistic Center)
Then similar to the North America and Europe Championship, Baymax – Armored Companion is also revealed to be part of the prizes that the participants can obtain from the event.
Interesting note: This is first time we are seeing Baymax as a Chinese card, which made it the first time I realised that Baymax’s Chinese name is 大白, literally translated as Big White. Makes sense since he is a white robot, but it is pretty funny and just makes me think of a dog’s name.
Also shared is a look at the Stitch – Rock Star China promo for the set championship!
Note: 2 versions of the playmats are still available. Also playmats and promo cards are distributed at different ratios based on the number of participants for the event.
And lastly, a look at the Scrooge McDuck – Uncle Moneybags China promo that are given out at demo events!
And that’s it for China’s tournament structure! Exciting times are definitely ahead for Illumineers in China. Which of these are you most excited for?
