The Archazia’s Island Championship is an organized play event for the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game (TCG), designed to engage players in competitive play and reward top performers with exclusive prizes. There have been a few changes since the last Championship, so let’s tackle it together.
Big Changes
1. Only the Champion gets the playmat.
2. 40 non-foil promo cards for all attendees
3. Players allowed in the venue cannot be restricted from the event for any reason other than physical space requirements to ensure fairness and inclusivity.
Kit Contents:
- 1 Hiro Hamada – Armor Designer Champion playmat
- 8 Alternate art foil Hiro Hamada – Armor Designer promo cards
- 40 Alternate art non-foil Hiro Hamada – Armor Designer promo cards
- 1 reference sheet
Prize Distribution:
- Champion (1st Place):
- Hiro Hamada – Armor Designer Champion playmat
- 1 foil promo card
- Second through Eighth Place:
- 1 foil promo card each
- All Participants (while supplies last):
- 1 non-foil promo card
Tournament Structure:
- Format: Core (Constructed)
- Structure: Swiss Rounds with a possible Top Cut, depending on attendance
- Player Eligibility: A minimum of eight players with tournament-legal decks is required. If fewer than eight players are present, the event must be canceled, and the kit returned to the local Ravensburger office.
- Round Details:
- Swiss Rounds: 55 minutes each, with the option of best-of-three or two-game formats
- Top Cut Rounds:
- Best-of-three format
- 70 minutes for Top 8 and Top 4 Rounds
- Untimed Final Round
The number of Swiss Rounds and the inclusion of a Top Cut are determined by the total number of participants. For example, an event with 9-16 players will have 4 Swiss Rounds followed by a Top 4 cut.
Judging Requirements: Each event must have at least one judge who is experienced in judging TCG events and familiar with Disney Lorcana TCG rules. Judges are not permitted to participate as players in the tournament.
